Security Monitors

Security monitors play a role in your security camera system. If you mainly view your security cameras from your main location then you want to get a good quality monitor to view your cameras.

In the ever changing world of technology new things are coming out that will change the way your security camera system helps you. LED monitors will provide the ultimate viewing experience for your system. If your DVR is not compatible with LED's (which most systems are not) you can opt for an LCD that has an HDMI input. To connect your LCD to your DVR through an HDMI input you will also need an HDMI output on your DVR. More and more DVR's are adding the option of HDMI outputs but there are still many security DVR's that do not have an HDMI option. As of right now 6/21/11 most 4 channel dvrs do not have an output for hdmi.

If you mainly view your security cameras online while you are at work through your remote setup then the quality of you monitor is not as important.
